Whincup Almost Seals V8 Series Jamie Whincup has all but sewn up a second successive V8 Supercar Championship Series after a solid fourth in the latest round at Barbagallo on the weekend. Fellow TeamVodafone driver won the event, but it was Whincup's clinically precice performance to almost clinch the 2009 title that will see him hailed as one of the greats of the sport.  Lowndes Wins on Gold Coast Team Vodafone driver Craig Lowndes has won the Nikon SuperGP on the Gold Coast but teammate Jamie Whincup failed to finish after crashing into a wall at turn nine. Over half the field were involved in some kind of crash or altercation, with Lowndes finishing ahead of Ford's Mark Winterbottom and Toll Holden's Garth Tander on the podium.  |
