With the support of the Holden Performance Driving
Center, "The Biante Series" was hotly contested with the
expected battle between the missile piloted by Paul
Stubber and ever charging Brad Tilley's beautifully
turned out GT Falcon with the Camaros of Steve Mason,
Garry Trellor and the fastback Mustang of Chris
Stillwell, Les Walmsley's very quick Chrysler Charger the
racing was always close, tight and excited more like the
feeding frenzy of a school of sharks at the heels of the
Stubber Camaro just waiting for the chance to strike,
then race two Stubber broke a suspension part and they
pounced positions were well earned with Tilley, Mason,
Stillwell, Trellor finally moving up to take out the
major positions. Race three seen the excitement towards
the rear of the field get a little out of control when it
seems the yellow flag was overlooked and little damage
took out several of the field with the Williams Torana
being sidelined after a allnight effort in the work shop.
Trevor Talbot doing it cleanly all weekend and Alastair
Maclean loving the attention and driving hard throughout
each event.
Tony Hunter in the fast Chev Monaro had the duel roll of
racing hard and driving the Biante "Muscle Gear"
merchandising van to the meeting. We all in the series
thank you for the sponsorship of the "Sunliner Recreational Vehicle".
Also the "Biante Babes" Lauren and Krystal were ever
present with their smiles on a freezing weekend, and they will
be back for the "Muscle Car Masters" 28-30 October. So get
ready for some more real racing. Our next Biante Series race
kicks off on 19th August at Mallala, so don't miss it!
